With a new store in Shanghai and another milestone collab involving Maison Margiela firmly slotted in Supreme’s back pockets, the brand is swiftly moving on to week 8 of its Spring Summer ‘24 campaign, focusing on brighter tones and textile variety, alongside honouring a legend of the beautiful game.
One of a few leather jackets to drop this season, this week’s offering brings about a supple lambskin variation that’s applied with gemstones to form a bold 30-year anniversary crest at the rear; the brown colourway uses multicoloured studs, where the black opts for tonality. Both feature full-zip closures, double-welt hand and interior chest pockets, plus elasticised leather hems and cuffs.
Next up is an unconventional take on the “streetwear 2-piece”, manifested through nylon chore jackets and matching cargo pants that are built from satiny recycled nylon, garnished with contrast stitching across the black, navy, orange and tan colourways that all feature a phalanx of functional pockets.
The late Diego Maradona has already played an integral role in the first set of graphic tees to release this season and is returning once again to feature on a mural-esque football jersey that depicts the “hand-of-god” player against the home colours of his Argentinian national team, finished with a signature from the man himself.
This week’s “tops” selection encompasses the retro-inspired Warm Up Stripe design, loose fit s/s Oxford Shirts and intarsia knit Star sweaters. More mid-layers include the raglan-sleeve Small Box sweatshirts and Immortal Hoodie that features a massive stamp at the rear commemorating 30 years of Supreme.
Three hat styles are available this week, including the mesh-backed New Era 6-panel adorned with a front-and-centre Box Logo and Superbowl-inspired patches, plus a simple two-tone cotton/ corduroy S Logo cap and the Pro Bowl Pillbox hat.
Supreme has tapped the waterproof know-how of German firm Ortlieb to work on a custom set of hard-wearing bags constructed from Ortlieb’s proprietary PVC-coated tarpaulin, resulting in three lifeproof styles that feature welded seams and are decorated with Box Logo branding.
Finally, Supreme places its infamous 7-letter moniker on an Italian-made Bialetti cafetière that is a capable of making 8-cups of your favourite brew.
