Supreme & Dickies Team Up on Stripped Back Workwear Capsule
December 13, 2024
Supreme and Dickies are reuniting to redefine workwear for Fall Winter 24, taking a stripped back approach to genre-appropriate staples that adopt washed out palettes and considered detailing.
A far cry from last week’s graphic-heavy Frank Frazetta capsule, Supreme and Dickies’ latest endeavour largely focuses on the real-world application of heavy duty garments, spanning two styles of work jacket, flannel-lined dungarees and trousers, plus a duo of easy-going tops.
Where the majority of the capsule likely favours heavy cotton twill, Supreme has subverted an icon of the workwear scene with a full leather makeover, ditching traditional canvas in place of supple black leather that still retains utilitarian appeal thanks to exposed pocket rivets and triple stitched seams.
Supreme rehashes the recognised pattern once more on the Quilted Zip Hoodie that boasts the hard-wearing functionality of classic workwear, although imbued with a casual edge thanks to the jersey outer face. The hoodie comes rivetless, with the same pocket branding patch and an embroidered Supreme script on the hood’s peak.
Bringing OG skater vibes to the fore, the Thermal Polo shows a built-in longsleeve undershirt beneath a choice of white or black striped pique top, with radical chest embroidery finishing off the design.
Finally, Supreme gives in to its graphical tendencies on the raw-hemmed Raglan Top, before adding to the capsule’s outerwear offering with a classic collared Work Jacket that features reinforced panelling at abrasion sensitive areas, an abundance of exposed rivets and adjustable cuffs & hems, complete with a detachable quilted hood.
The jacket can be paired with matching dungarees or trousers that are available in the same hues of blue, pink and black.
