Supreme’s ability to inject hype into even the most unremarkable brands never fails to surprise, as NYC’s biggest streetwear brand reconnects with Spyder to showcase a full snowsports-rooted capsule to close out the year.
Established by championship level skier David Jacobs, Spyder is a prominent name in the ski/ snowboard world that has provided functional gear since 1978.
Building on the graphic heavy stance first taken in Supreme’s debut Spyder collab for FW22, the collection centres around various Spyder-themed graphics that feature on jackets, sweats and accessories.
Acting as a reference to the early days of outdoor performance gear, the centrepiece jacket features a detachable quilt inner lining, stitched to imitate a “Spyder’s” web design with snap closures that can be used to join the four-pocketed outer shell.
Dropping in black, bright green and white, the latter two versions show colour blocked detailing across the shoulders, with web graphics at the pits and Supreme wordmarks on the Velcro cuffs.
The other notable piece comes in the form of zip-up cardigans with Windstopper technology that fuses the cosiness of classic winter gear with vibrant detailing and casual innovation.
The remainder of the capsule is more of the same, with Spyder’s mascot and adjacent imagery featuring on hoodies, sweatpants and skullcap beanies, plus New Era caps and balaclavas, alongside socks, gloves and a commemorative Zippo lighter.
The latest Supreme x Spyder collaboration drops this Thursday, December 19th via the Supreme webstore and physical locations across the globe.
A release in Asia follows on Saturday, December 21st.
