Palace x Dr. Martens Unveil a Collaboration Worth Waiting For

Palace and Dr. Martens have revealed their first ever collaboration - rolling out this Friday for Week 10 of Palace’s Spring ‘25 campaign.
Representing different eras of the UK fashion scene, Palace and Dr. Martens meet in the middle for what the brands describe is a collaboration that’s “worth the wait”.
Sticking with the notion that a project from an icon of England’s footwear game and its nu-wave skate flagbearers was inevitable, Palace has put together a promotional video to complement the release.
Exploring the concept of waiting, the film stars team skaters Charlie Birch and Lucien Clarke, alongside John Cooper Clark, the English “punk” poet who would’ve been Dr. Martens ideal consumer when they first experienced mainstream hype during the 1960s and 70s.
The collaboration consists of three colourways of Dr. Martens’ 1461 derby, arriving in traditional black, cherry red or woodland camo leather versions, set atop signature BEN lugged outsoles finished with bright yellow stitching.
Calling back to a late 80s trend in which Doc’s enjoyers would attach beer bottle caps to their shoes, Palace has included a special bottle cap lace charm, also adding influence on the heel straps, where for the first time, Dr. Martens “AirWair” text is removed to make room for Palace branding.
The collection drops this Friday, April 11 via Palace’s webstore and physical locations, ahead of an online release via Dr. Martens on Saturday, April 12.
