Setting up shop at the annual Watches and Wonders event in Geneva, Switzerland, Rolex has just revealed its latest catalogue updates for 2025, introducing a brand new model alongside welcome refreshments to some of its most iconic timepieces.

After covering the major planes of existence from the sea, sky, all the way to space, Rolex brings the Dweller family of watches back down to earth with the all-new Land-Dweller. Unveiled earlier today in ten different references and three case materials, Rolex’s Land-Dweller marks the first time the brand has used an integrated bracelet since the Oysterquartz was discontinued in 2001.

For a brand whose updates can often seem marginal, the Land-Dweller is further evidence of an evolving design language within Rolex’s brand identity. Besides the Flat Jubilee bracelet equipped with a concealed folding Crownclasp, Rolex also implements a transparent sapphire crystal caseback to showcase the intricate calibre 7135 self-winding movement.

According to Rolex, the 7135 movement has been developed over the past seven years specifically for the Land-Dweller, requiring 16 patent applications focused on improvements to the oscillator and “Dynapulse” escapement functions, giving the watch all the smooth-ticking benefits of a high beat movement, while avoiding the pitfalls of reduced durability or limited power reserve.

The Land-Dweller is available in White Rolesor, Everose gold and platinum, each coming with the “honeycomb” patterned dial in case sizes of 36mm or 40mm.

Continuing to reflect its ever-evolving inventiveness and elevated standards, Rolex also introduced new material and colour combinations to some of its most cherished models, creating deeper waitlists world-over with new references of the GMT-Master II, Oyster Perpetual, Datejust, Daytona and more.

Highlights include the left-handed GMT Master II in white gold with a brand-first green dial constructed from Rolex’s proprietary Cerachrom alloy, which was previously reserved for the coloured bezels on models like the GMT Master II and Submariner.

Tweaking the GMT Master II’s cult ‘Rootbeer’ colour configuration, Rolex intensifies the watch bezel’s black/ brown shades with a full Everose gold construction and new stone dial that features a mix of tiger’s eye, red jasper and silvery hematite to make up the “Tiger Iron” mineral combination.

The perennial time-only Oyster Perpetual receives three new dial colours for 2025, spanning pastel-like shades of lavender, beige and pistachio green - respectively modelled above on the 28mm, 36mm and 41mm size options of the Oyster Perpetual.

The Datejust receives a “light and shade” makeover, where Rolex aims to capture the “last rays of the sun piercing the horizon at nightfall” through its first ever use of Physical Vapour Deposition technology, resulting in a gem-set, red ombré dial that compliments the 18ct yellow gold case and a bezel applied with 46 brilliant-cut diamonds.

First introduced in 2023, Rolex is already updating the 1908 with a first-of-its-kind metal bracelet dedicated solely to the watch. Previously only available on a leather strap, the 1908 was revealed in a polished 18ct gold reference, equipped with the new Settimo bracelet and hidden Crownclasp.

Exploring the concept of light/ colour interaction and an unrivalled ability to stand out from the crowd, Rolex magnifies the aura of its Cosmograph Daytona and Sky-Dweller models using turquoise blue lacquer and sunray-finish green dials paired with gold case constructions.

As with any group of new releases, Rolex makes room in its catalogue by discontinuing various pieces from years gone by, this time culling around 80 references from its Oyster Perpetual, Day-Date and Datejust ranges, including the polarising “Celebration Dial” Oyster Perpetual from 2023.
